I'm not going to lie to you but I have been dressing in basically nothing but activewear during lockdown. I don't know if I'm stuck in a rut but I've just felt so uninspired to make an effort with my makeup and clothes. Of course, it's okay to have days like this every once in a while but every day is a no-no.

I really notice a difference when I make an effort with my appearance. It's an instant mood booster. So, I decided to put together an outfit that I have never worn before. I didn't even leave the house that day but even just working at my computer I felt like a boss. I felt motivated and powerful. Something I haven't felt in a while

If you are feeling sluggish and need an instant boost, I cannot recommend this enough. Create a new outfit out of the clothes you already have and make yourself feel fabulous. It really works. I mean I don't do it every day but I will be making much more of an effort going forwards.

Are you making the effort during lockdown? Or are you preferring to stay comfy?

The weather in the UK has been so warm and I feel so grateful for some sunshine at last. The weather in England is pretty unpredictable and it rains a lot, so when it's sunny you really have to make the most of it.

On Tuesday we spontaneously decided to head to the beach for the evening and I'm so glad we did. I'm trying to do more things in the evening, especially when the weather is so beautiful. It was perfect. It was amazing to take some time to sit still and breathe in the fresh sea air.

Eamon even tried his FIRST scampi and chips. I guess it is a very English meal but I still couldn't believe he had never tried it before. He gobbled the entire meal down in about 50 seconds, so I'll take that as a success.

It only took us 40 minutes to get to the beach and it made me realise how lucky we are to live so near to the ocean. Being a Cancer I feel so at peace and rejuvenated when I'm near water. I just love it. It is definitely my happy place and one day I know I will live even closer to the beach.

The beach we went to is a family favourite and somewhere my Mum would always take us when we were children. I have such fond memories of going there. Even the times when she would insist we go in the middle of winter.

I am loving taking photographs at the moment and capturing my weekends through my camera is keeping me sane in lockdown. Admittedly, I have been very slack on posting this week but I am finally getting round to showing you what we got up to (6 days too late).

The weather was amazing and we took advantage of this by enjoying a delicious BBQ with Eamonn's family in their garden. We are now allowed to meet outside in the UK and as we live in an apartment it felt so amazing to be outside and catch up with some of our family who we haven't seen in ages.

On Sunday we went to their allotment and enjoyed more sunshine and a delicious lunch from our favourite health food cafe, Rawberry. If you live in and around Winchester you just have to try it. I am so happy they are back open for take-out because pre-lockdown we would go every weekend. It was our little ritual.

I also picked up the most beautiful flowers as a treat, which is something I just like to do as a form of self-care.

Another one of my favourite things to do pre-lockdown was to get a coffee and mooch around the town we live in. Obviously, at the moment you can only get take out so we both grabbed a Matcha Latte (yes Eamonn is now into Match...result).

It was a pretty chilled weekend but it was just so nice to get out of the house. I'm hoping this weekend we can do the same. What are your plans for this weekend?

Whatever you are up to I hope you have a great weekend.

This summer I have experimented with more colours than I ever thought possible. If you have followed me since I launched this blog you will know that I tend to stick to neutral colours or blacks. However, my soul has been lusting after more pastel tones and I have been loving it. I mean I don't think you can call Khaki a pastel colour but I love this shade of green and it has become a new favourite in my wardrobe.

What I love about khaki is that this colour makes an outfit look more relaxed, which is exactly what I'm looking for in the summer.

I do think khaki is still rather neutral when it comes to colour palettes but it just adds a touch of vibrance. So, when I saw this dress on the ASOS website I knew I had to purchase it. When it arrived I wasn't too sure on the shape but once I tried it on I fell in love with it. It looks super chilled but still put together and dare I say it...cool (I cringe at saying that word).

I would style anything khaki with either plain silver or gold jewellery as I think they really complement each other. For this dress style, in particular, I would style with chunky trainers or sandals.

It's just one of those dresses that you can literally throw on and run out the door. Perfect if you don't know what to wear or are running late for something.

As a little form of escapism I have been lusting after a few luxury items during lockdown and I thought I would share them with you. These are all things that I would consider a luxury and not items I would consider purchasing without serious thought (apart from the sneakers).

I'm not saying I'm going to rush and buy these things all in one go because I definitely am not. However, I do believe it can be fun and important to set yourself goals. Whatever they may be, big or small it is always nice to have something to look forward to.

For me, that comes in all forms but I am not ashamed to admit that I do like to treat myself every once in a while and that could be a new bag or a spa day.

Here are the items I currently have on my wish list and why:

  • Chanel Flap Bag With Top Handle - I mean this is the bag of dreams and something that has been on my wish list since forever. I do love the Classic Flap Chanel but I do think this is a bag that could be worn for so many occasions. It simply is stunning and something I really want to set myself a goal to buy one day. Better getting working hard...

  • Cartier Love Bracelet - The Cartier Love Bracelet is iconic and it's not hard to see why. Its simplicity speaks a thousand words. The reason I love the Cartier love collection is because honestly, I love anything that symbolises love and kind gestures. Plus, it's just so beautiful.

  • Large Jo Malone Candle - I have loved fragrances and candles for as long as I can remember and the Jo Malone range has to be one of my favourites. I love how relaxed a candle makes me feel and I think it is a powerful tool for setting the tone. I typically light my candles in the evening or on a rainy cosy day. For me, candles are such a great way to practice self-care and make your home feel beautiful. The extra-large Jo Malone candle is something I am yet to buy as it is a little pricey but I think I'm definitely going to take the plunge.

  • Veja White & Gold Sneakers - I mean who doesn't love a good pair of trainers? I live in trainers and these Veja's are the perfect style for both summer and winter. I also love the gold detailing on this particular style.  A good pair of trainers can really elevate an outfit and if you choose the right style they can even be worn for evening occasions, such as dinner or evening drinks.

What do you have on your wish list? Be sure to let me know in the comments below.

You may have seen the famous Dalgona Coffee doing the rounds on social media. If not, where have you been? Joking but I have seen so many people making this dreamy coffee and just had to try it out for myself.

Well let me tell you something, it's not as easy as it looks and I could have sworn my wrist nearly fell off. After five minutes of whisking until I couldn't whisk anymore, I gave up and shoved the coffee concoction into my trusty blender.

  1. 2 tablespoons of ground coffee (I use decaffeinated)
  2. 1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener of your choice (I would opt for honey)
  3. 2 tablespoons of hot water
  4. whisk together (or add to a blender) I also added is to make it thicker
  5. Poor milk of choice into a cup
  6. Pour the coffee mixture of milk and enjoy

BE WARNED... this coffee is strong.

ENJOY and let me know how you get on.

Anyone who knows me well enough or follows me on Instagram and watches my hauls will know how much I love a puff sleeve. So, inevitably when I saw this dress on the H&M website I just had to buy it. There was no questioning it.

When it arrived I was so excited to style it and couldn't wait to wear it out. Even if it was only a trip to town, I just enjoyed getting dressed up a little bit. It really is beautiful and I have had so many lovely compliments on it.

What I love about this smock dress is that is oversized and yet feminine. The oversized sleeves, layering and overall style just scream summer to me.

I chose to style the dress quite casually, opting for a straw bag (an essential accessory in any summer wardrobe) and Gucci Princetown Loafers. I would also style with trainers and sandals in the summer.

I wish I was taking this dress on holiday but sadly lockdown won't allow it. I could so picture myself wearing this in Mykonos or Santorini. Maybe next year?

If you like this dress as much as I do you can shop the full outfit below:
